Big Cedar Endurance Run

50K / 50 Mile / 100 Mile

November 4-5, 2016 (100 Miler starts Nov. 4, 50 Mile / 50K starts Nov. 5)

Big Cedar Endurance Run was the first 100 mile trailrunning event in North Texas! Now join us for our second year!

The race takes place at the highest point in the city of Dallas, Prayer Mountain, which is home to the Big Cedar Wilderness Trail system. With rolling hills, the trails offer up some pretty views on a clear day. The Big Cedar trails are primarily wooded but have field segments as well. Terrain is varied with mostly single track dirt trail that has some rocky bits and some rooty bits and a little ATV trail.

This race has had a really unlucky streak the last two years with unusual weather. Read on about why this is the 100 miler with the lowest finish rate in Texas (until we get a good weather year!) and our new plans to prevent having to cancel in the future due to significant rain or storms.

Last year's race was HIGHLY UNUSUAL with a very large amount of rainfall that turned the course into a mudfest. So don't be scared off by the low finish rate and slow times of last year. It was a definite anomaly!
